Practice Facilities

The Board is pleased to advise that works on the much-anticipated upgrade to the Club’s practice facilities are scheduled to commence on Monday 7th July 2025.

This exciting redevelopment will deliver a modern, high-quality practice environment for members, guests and teaching professionals, further enhancing the Club’s commitment to golf excellence and member experience.

All-Weather Practice Facility

  • Undercover Member Hitting Bays
  • Premium turfhound practice mats
  • Dedicated Teaching Bays
  • Turf tee for special events
  • Toptracer Technology
  • Lighting for extended use into the evening

Improved Short Game Area

  • New chipping and bunker complexes
  • Enhanced putting green

Driving Range Enhancements

  • Target greens with integrated bunkering
  • New turf with a widened hitting zone
  • Safety netting installed at the end of the range

Construction Timeline & Access

To facilitate these works, the driving range and short game area will be closed for periods as detailed below. The Club will make every effort to minimise disruption, and teaching lessons will remain available via use of the 19th hole and access to the practice facilities at alternative Golf Clubs.

Driving Range and Short Game Area

  • Monday 7th July 2025:
    • Civil works commence on the driving range. The practice range will be declared “Out of Bounds” from the 7th hole as soon as construction commences.
  • July to September 2025:
    • Tree removal and re-vegetation
    • Soil preparation for chipping and target greens
    • Full practice fairway shaping
    • Drainage and irrigation installation
    • Turfing of new fairway and teeing zones
    • Decommissioning of short game carpark and installation of kerb and channel
    • Installation of 70m x 18m netting at the end of the practice fairway
  • July to Early September 2025:
    • Driving range closed for regular play – access limited to a portable mat hitting area in early September
  • August to October 2025
    • Civil works commence on the short game area
    • Short game area closed for construction (phased re-use expected from late October).

All Weather Practice Facility

  • Final timeline for shelter construction to be confirmed following design documentation, tendering, and permitting processes.

This project represents an important step in the Club’s long-term strategic vision and will deliver outstanding practice facilities for all members and guests to enjoy.
