REPORTING NEAR MISSES AND INJURIES ON THE GOLF COURSE<\/strong><\/p>\n

Members are reminded that in accordance with the Club Regulations, Item 2 \u2013 Course Safety <\/strong>they must:<\/p>\n

\u201cReport incidents (injuries) and near misses to the General Manager or Golf Operations team in accordance with our Risk Management and monitoring procedures.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

What is a \u2018near miss\u2019?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A \u2018near miss\u2019 is where a member or guest has come close<\/em> to<\/em> being injured by an errant golf ball. It can also be where a where a member or guest has come close<\/em> to<\/em> being injured due to an unidentified hazard on the course.<\/p>\n

What is the process for reporting near misses and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n

All \u2018near misses\u2019 should be reported to the General Manager or Pro-shop staff as soon as possible after the incident has occurred. An incident form will be completed and raised as a possible OH&S issue that may need to be addressed.<\/p>\n

Injuries<\/strong><\/p>\n

Members are also required to report any injuries on the course, no matter how small they are! All injuries should be reported to the General Manager or Pro-shop staff as soon as possible after the incident has occurred.<\/p>\n

Members who have sustained an injury or any kind will be required to complete and \u2018injury form\u2019 which is available at the Pro-shop and Reception.<\/p>\n

This will be added to your membership file, and in the case of any possible injury complication can be used to make an issuance claim under your Personal Insurance Protection (PIP).<\/p>\n
