Yarra Yarra has a number of junior members playing in the Victorian Junior Open which starts today at Barwon Heads Golf Club & 13th Beach Golf Links. Amelia Harris, Tori Sam, Anton Kovacevic, Corey Wakeman, Eddie Tong and Sophie Mann will be amongst a full field of 156 players.

First run in 2013 in the lead up to the Victorian Open, the former 18-hole tournament provided a great opportunity for juniors to experience the environment of a professional event. Following on from the recent success of the Vic Open, the Victorian Junior Open is played as an Australian and Victorian Ranked 72-hole tournament.

The Open is for boys and girls aged under 18 years and is played over 72-holes stroke play, with both the boy’s and girl’s champions of the event receiving an exemption into the 2023 Vic Open.
