Adidas Australian Amateur Championship

The Australian Amateur Championship is being held at Yarra Yarra from Sunday 14 to Friday 19 January with Australia’s best amateur golfers competing for the premier amateur trophies in Australian Golf.
This is a wonderful stage for the Club to showcase to the Australian Golfing Community how wonderful your course and club are and with the staging any event of this nature assistance is needed to ensure the event is a success.
2017 was the last time Yarra Yarra hosted the amateur with current superstars Min Woo Lee and Robert McIntyre competing making this an opportunity to see some future stars of the game playing around your home course.
If you can assist in the following areas, please put your name down on the volunteers lists via the links shown.
Scorers
You will be positioned on a tee and will record scores for each group that comes through to keep the live leaderboards updated.
Practice Range
You will ensure there are plenty of range balls for the players and that they are abiding by practice range regulations.
Starting
Every group that tees off is announced to the tee and you ensure that the tee runs on time.

While the course is closed for the week there have been limited places arranged at The National Golf Club with tee times determined by ballot.
The Ballot will open at 2.00 pm on Friday 22 December and will close on Friday 5 January at 5.00 pm with results released on Monday 8 January.
Tee times will be available for the following dates with times between 8.30 am and 1.30 pm, please enter only on the days you are wanting to play:
- Tuesday 16 January
- Wednesday 17 January
- Thursday 18 January
Australian Amateur Championship Billets
The Australian Amateur Championship will attract players from all over Australia, New Zealand and other countries. The club has received a number of requests from entrants regarding the possibility of being billeted with a club member.
If you are in a position to assist with billeting a competition please e-mail Andrew Bertram at headprofessional@yarrayarra.com.au who will take you through the requirements and pair suitable golfers to stay with you.
The tournament is also being played at Keysborough Golf Club on the Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday in conjunction with Yarra Yarra. The final two rounds of the event will be played solely at Yarra Yarra.
