The Women’s Sub Committee were pleased, once again, to be back hosting our Annual Charity Golf and Card Day.

The day threatened rain but the 82 golfers who teed-off at 8.30 am were very lucky to play 18 holes with the sun shining through towards the end. Everyone enjoyed the on-course activities, and of course our beautiful course. This year was a mixed event, and we hope in future years to have more men joining us.

At 10.30 am, 53 ladies were welcomed for a morning of bridge in the Members Bar. Prizes were awarded for Tricks with a ‘2’ and any ‘Slam’.

The golfers and bridge players enjoyed a lovely lunch in the Eaglemont Room and Members Bar.

For many years the Women’s Sub Committee have supported the local charity  Moongala Women’s Community House “a place to belong, feel welcome, learn, and grow”. Moongala offers low-cost pre-accredited classes to adults in the community and general interest and support groups for women.

This year we held a Charity Raffle and a wine Auction. Some amazing prizes were donated – rounds of golf, photography packages and much more.

Can we thank everyone who donated a prize, the members who either organised the donations, donated their time, purchased tickets in the raffle  or bid on the wines up for auction.

Their generosity has assisted us to raise $7500 for Moongala.
