Presidents Day – Review and Results

105 Members and guests participated in the Presidents Day Golf and Dinner event held on Sunday 29 May 2022.
The weather was beautiful on the day with lovely spring conditions. The golf scores were amazing with the winners scoring 46 points to take out the major golfing prizes on the day.
The runners up were 81 and 86 years old and gave a hilarious speech about showing up all the youngies in the room.
The interim Head Chef and his team prepared a lovely two course dinner and the President updated the members on what is happening at the Club.
Danny McGrady has been the Club President for three years and retires from this role at the next AGM in October. As we had two years of COVID, the Presidents Day event was cancelled in 2020 and 2021, making this Danny’s first and last Presidents Day event.
Danny’s wife Deborah was offered a word of thanks for three years of supporting Danny in his role as President and was presented with a lovely bunch of flowers from the Club.

- Winners: George Dapiran and Virginia Leben with 46 points
- Runners up: John Taylor and Norm Iddles
- Winning guest team: Drew Ashton and Andrew Shelton
- NTP on 6th: Karan Smith landing it 220cm from the pin (she unfortunately didn’t make the putt)
- NTP on 15th: Yee Chan landing it 80cm to from the pin (he unfortunately didn’t make the putt either)
