Interclub match with Huntingdale

The annual Interclub Match against Huntingdale was played on Saturday 6 August with Yarra Yarra winning the match 6 ½ to 5 ½.
This match celebrates the friendship and competition between our two clubs and dates back to 1959. This was the first match held since 2019 due to COVID and restoration works. Yarra Yarra has won this interclub match 30 times against Huntingdale who have won 23 times.
The home teams have traditionally had strong success with the hometown advantage. Yarra Yarra lead 5 to 1 at home while Huntingdale led 4 ½ to 1 ½ at Huntingdale.
Greg Vawdrey and Bernie Upjohn had the best score at Yarra Yarra with 44 points. They claimed 15 points on the last 5 holes to come from behind and gain the decisive point for the team win.
Tim Wilks and Bob Hawker from Huntingdale led their side with 41 points.
