R.G. Ball Trophy

The Men’s R.G. Ball Trophy was contested on Saturday 13 August 2022. The R.G. Ball Trophy is open to the Winners of the Monthly Medal events (July – June) who compete in a stroke handicap event with the best net score the winner.
On a challenging day with gusty breezes and quick greens Greg Flaherty won the event with a nett 72 ahead of the other medallists Fraser Jones, Michael Dole, Joe Dorfman, David Bedwell, Dennis Dodd, Chris Scerri, Andrew Blunden and Ryan Kreymborg.
The trophy commemorates R G Ball who was a Member of Committee from 1929 to 1931 and President from 1932 to 1945, a total of 14 years, encompassing the difficult years of the Depression and the Second World War. He was appointed a Life Member in 1946.
