Board Nominations now open

Dear Members,

In accordance with the Club Constitution, Directors are elected each year at the Annual General Meeting. Nominations for the position of Director for 2023/24 open on Friday 18 August 2023 at 9am.

To be a Director, a person must be a Financial Voting Member
a) Must have been a member for a minimum of two years
b) Must be a Financial Voting Member at all times the person holds the position of Director

A Director who is not re-elected, or is not elected to any other office, ceases to be a Director, but is eligible for election at the subsequent AGM.

A Director who has served for 8 continuous years and is not an Office Bearer, is not eligible for re-election at the next election. Such persons may stand for re-election after 3 years.

Elections are to be conducted in the following manner;
a) All nominations must be in writing for each eligible Financial Voting Member.
b) Nomination forms are available from the General Manager
c) Nominations must be lodged with the General Manager at least 28 days before the date of the AGM.
d) The nomination form must be signed by the candidate and proposed and seconded by a Financial Voting Member of at least two years.

The General Manager is required to display all nominations on the Clubhouse notice board and on the Club website.

If the number of nominations exceed the number of vacancies then an electronic ballot will be conducted once the nominations close.

In the case of two or more candidates receiving the same number of votes for any position (other than the position of President) the Incoming President shall have the casting vote.
