Women’s End of Year Celebration

After a stormy and wet morning, the women members arrived to a windy but sunny afternoon for the Women’s End of Year Celebration on Wednesday.

The theme was Polka Dots and teams put much thought and imagination into producing their team outfits with anything from Mini Mouse, Witches and even Polka Dot PJ’s being adorned.

The evening began with 9 holes of golf, the bunkers out of play and only 3 clubs and a putter permitted.

The format was stableford and the best 2 scores of each team counted with additional bonus points awarded if a drive went in or within a club length of hula hoops strategically placed around the course.

On completion of golf we headed upstairs onto the terrace for canapés and drinks with Acoustic Band, Ashleigh Watson Duo, playing in the background.
We then moved into the Bar that continued on the colourful polka Dot theme for a BBQ buffet and Sweets.

Fiona awarded prizes to golfing winners Jillian Cox, Bron Kennedy, Brenda Young and Lyn Wells who scored 45 points.

The Best dressed award went to Vivien Cadd, Kelly Baker, Sally Ezerins and Andrea Walter donning their polka dot PJ’s.
Di Simmons and Sue Baker were awarded the non playing best dressed award.

Some very positive feedback was received on what a fun night it was and much thanks must go to Paul, the Hospitality and Kitchen Staff and all who helped make the night such a great success.
