We were certainly blessed this week when Yarra Yarra hosted its first Women’s Guest Day in twelve months. The weather was simply stunning, and the course looked amazing.

For the winning team they found everything went their way! Congratulations to Kathy Leferve, Catherine Huse, Jan Finlayson and Lynette Wells for a great score of 85.

On the 5^th Hole their score was boosted by a birdie from the Lady President of Victoria, Catherine Huse and an eagle from new Yarra Yarra member Kathy Leferve.  

Runners up with a score of 83 were Di Simmons, Dianne Whitelaw, Sue Baker and Kristine Vandertop. 

After a very quiet 2020 golfing calendar it was a wonderful feeling to be again hosting guests and showing off our incredible facility. Compliments about the course presentation were plentiful, one guest even asked if the putting green surface was real grass! Our greens were rolling true (and pretty quickly!) and tested most players. The fairways were lush and the course restoration aims were clear to see with views to the newly painted clubhouse at every turn. Even the rough was at a reasonable length ensuring playability thereby enhancing enjoyment of the golf.

A delicious lunch was enjoyed by 94 women, including visitors from 27 clubs. Thank you to Sean our new hospitality manager, Fiza our operations manager, our chef Luke and all the staff for a seamless and timely service.

Our Proshop staff as always were key to the event running smoothly and thanks are due to Andrew, Jas and the team.
