Charity Day was held on Monday 16 May 2022. Due to the hard work and dedication of the Women’s Committee, and the generosity of the Yarra yarra members $7,133 was raised in total. 

One of the Charities nominated by the Women’s Committee is Moongala Community House. Moongala Community House was established in 1980 and is located in our community of East Bentleigh. They are a not-for-profit organisation offering a range of low cost educational & general interest classes, self-help, support and friendship groups to the local community.

On Friday 17 June 2022 I presented a cheque to Julie Walker, the House Coordinator at Moongala Community House for $4,000.

Julie was delighted with this donation and wished to pass on her thanks to all the members of Yarra Yarra for their kind donation.

As there were some late donation items  received (after the charity day) these will be auctioned off shortly and the proceeds added to the remaining $3,133.

These donated items include:

• A round of golf for four at Royal Melbourne
• A round of golf for four at Kingston Heath
• A round of golf for four at Metropolitan
• One nights accommodation and a round of golf for two at Barwon Heads
