KHRYSP results

The KHRYSP season for 2022 finished on Monday 18 July 2022. KHRYSP is an acronym which stands for Kingston Heath, Huntingdale, Royal Melbourne, Yarra Yarra, Southern and Peninsula, these clubs being the original ones in the competition which was designed to offer ‘off the stick’ match play to possible Pennant players. It is now so popular it is contested in two sections, Red and Blue, and teams field 5 players in the handicap range of 10.0 – 15.9
For the final match up in this season our girls had to take on Riversdale GC at Riversdale, always a tough ask. Playing golf in freezing cold and wet conditions on a heavy course against the home team is just plain hard work and unfortunately the team couldn’t pull off any magic on Monday. Our YYGC team finished the season equal third on the ladder, a credible result considering the team had to cherry pick from the Interclub team to be able to field a full team each week.
Well done to our players: Soon Lee, Marion Nguyen, Janet Bowman, Milenka Kalcic, Kira Michalova, Bronwyn Kennedy, Anne Gibbon and Kerri Appleton.
We look forward to next year’s competition and hopefully a better draw which will see us playing matches closer to home. As you can see from the photos it was a mostly cold and often damp season.
