The 2022 Australian Open brings the Men’s and Women’s championships together for the first time in the history of the tournament. The tournament will be held at Victoria Golf Club and Kingston Heath Golf Club from Thursday 1 to Sunday 4 December 2022.

On Thursday 1 and Friday 2 December full tournament fields will play at both Victoria Golf Club and Kingston Heath Golf Club. Play will commence at approximately 6:45am and go through until 6:00pm. The final 36 holes of the tournament will be hosted at Victoria Golf Club.

Yarra Yarra has been invited to put together a team of volunteers to marshal a hole at Victoria Golf Club for all four days and possibly at Kingston Heath for two days of the tournament.  Michael Barr has agreed to be Yarra Yarra’s Volunteer Coordinator and Team Leader.  Michael is required to submit a volunteer team by Friday 2 September 2022.

Volunteers are expected to be available for a minimum of two days but being available for all four days is preferable. A roster will be drawn up and, depending on the number of volunteers from Yarra Yarra, you can expect to be rostered on for at least 2 volunteer shifts.

Please note that it is likely that all volunteers will be required to complete a Working with Children Check. This is free for volunteers to undertake and only takes a short time to complete.
