- Artificially surfaced roads, car parks, paths and
- Penalty Area stakes, GUR and Dropping stakes, ropes and associated stakes and signs.
GROUND UNDER REPAIR:
The following areas are GUR:
- Those areas the margins of which are defined by white stakes, white lines, GUR signage and/or accompanying
NO PLAY ZONES:
The following are No Play Zones in an Abnormal Course Condition. If you have interference from any of these situations, you are required to take relief without penalty, as the ball must not be played as it lies:
- The garden bed surrounding the flagpole in front of the Clubhouse
- The garden bed and the fountain on the putting green adjacent to the clubhouse
- The Clubhouse, gardens and paths within the boundary of the road surrounding the Clubhouse.
- Staked Trees / Staked Shrubs under 2 club lengths in height, including the stake and any wrapping.
- The car park between the 1st tee, 7th hole, and 9th green, defined by the course side edge of the curbing. If a player’s ball is in the car park, including when it is known or virtually certain that a ball that has not been found is in the car park, the player has these relief options:
- The player may take relief under Rule 16.1 (unless the nearest point of complete relief results in the player needing to play across the car park – in this case, this option is not available, and the dropping zone must be used)
- As an extra option, the player may take free relief by dropping the original ball or another ball in the nearest dropping zone associated with the hole they are playing, identified by the blue dropping stake, which may be nearer the hole than where the ball originally lay. The dropping zone is a relief area under Rule 14.3. This option is NOT available when there is only interference to the area of intended swing or stance from the car park.
IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (EG SPRINKLER HEADS) CLOSE TO PUTTING GREENS – LINE OF PLAY INTERFERENCE
Rule 16.1b applies to immovable obstructions close to putting green. In addition to the types of interference described in Rule 16.1a, interference also exists if an immovable obstruction is on the player’s line of play, is within two club-lengths of the putting green and is within two club-lengths of the ball. (Exception – There is no relief under this Local Rule if the player chooses a line of play that is clearly unreasonable.)
AUTOSCORE CARDS:
If two different scores are recorded for the same hole, (example: the number “5” is recorded in the autoscore box but 4 has been written down) the higher score will count
Unless otherwise noted, the penalty for a breach of a Local Rule is the General Penalty
Stroke Play – Two Strokes Match Play – Loss of Hole
