1. DESCRIPTION

The Grade Championships are for competitors with handicaps between GA 4.4 and 36.

2. EVENT TYPE

Perpetual Trophies.

3. COMPETITION

  • Qualifying played over 36 Holes, with best 8 gross scores in each grade to qualify for scratch Match play rounds.
  • The Grade Championships will use the following handicap divisions;
    • A grade 4 to 10.1
    • B Grade 2 to 15.8
    • C Grade 9 to 20.6
    • D Grade 7 and over
    • The competition will be played on the blue course.
    • Match play rounds over 18 holes to be played as scheduled in the golf program.

4. ELIGIBILITY

  • Open to Life, 7 Day, Young and eligible Junior Members.

5. TIES

  • In the event of a tie, qualifying places will be determined by the GA countback system.

6. ENTRY

  • Competitors shall nominate for the event by entering their names on the Entry sheet. Competitors who enter for the Open Championship are not eligible to enter the Grade Championships. Entries will close two weeks before the qualifying round to enable a draw to be made and published.
  • Late entries will not be accepted.
  • Any player who cannot be available to play in each qualifying round and all the subsequent match play rounds is not eligible to enter the competition to avoid walkovers.

7. DRAW

  • The draw for match play shall be done on a seeding based on the qualifying scores as follows; (1 V’s 8, 4 V’s 5, 2 V’s 7, 3 V’s 6).
  • The draw is confirmed once it is published. Any late withdrawals will result in a walkover.
  • The GA count back system will be used to establish seedings for players with the same score.
  • The player whose name appears on the top of each match shall have the honour on the first tee.

8. PRESENTATIONS

  • Presentations of trophies will be made at the Championship Day presentations. Winners will be acknowledged and photographed, plus the Club will provide hospitality for the competitors, caddies, supporters and the referee.
